Playing and exploring outside in the Lincoln Square area of Chicago.
In the Playful Neighborhood summer clubs, participants will discover the nature found in our neighborhoods. Children will also engage their minds and bodies through extended periods of unstructured play. Creative outside play is encouraged through simple suggestions and open ended supplies.
Programs are all outdoors and therefore will occur weather permitting. Programs will only be cancelled if thunderstorms are likely.

Children Ages 6-10 (5 year old siblings also) 9:00am-1:00pm
June 13 – Simple Tools
June 20 – Treasure Hunts
August 1 – Nature creations
August 8 – Recycle and Create
August 15 – Nature Theater

Children will participate in classic summer outdoor experiences and sensory-based explorations of nature.
Middle School Grade
Play Helpers
Children entering 6th-8th grade can sign up to be helpers this summer. Parents pay half price for Play Helpers!
Helpers:
Model listening skills
Help set up and clean up supplies
Offer help or ideas to younger kids
Still have time to play themselves
Play helpers that assist with at least 3 dates this summer will earn a Play Helper Certificate and are eligible to become Junior Play Guides.
(Junior Play Guides will recieve a small stipend when helping in the future)
